At an early age John discovered his love and passion for teaching dance. He started teaching at the age of 16 and has done so nationally and internationally for over 20 years. Some of the most recognizable names John has taught and been on staff for include The St. Louis Rams Cheerleaders, Debbie Reynolds, and The Edge Performing Arts Center. John has also taught master classes and nationally award winning choreography in Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Iowa, Minnesota, Kentucky, Florida, Oklahoma, Texas, Wyoming, Idaho, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, California, Washington, Alaska, and Alberta, Canada.

John’s connections in the industry allowed him to create his own dance company The Collaboration, where he worked with the area’s top choreographers and studio directors, and some of the best talent in the region. The Collaboration Dance Company performed several sold out shows in the St. Louis area.

Currently John continues to travel throughout the country teaching, choreographing, adjudicating and working with the nation’s leading in-house dance convention, Flow 40.  John looks forward to sharing his passion, knowledge, experience and expertise of dance at Rokita Dance Center for generations to come.
