Brent Oplotnik grew up studying dance at his mother Patricia Oplotnik’s studio Applause in Oklahoma City. At the age of nine, Brent appeared on Star Search and El Sabado Gigante on Univision. Having enjoyed his television experience, It wasn’t long before he was cast in Michael Dinner’s Fox Movie of the Week, “Rise and Walk:The Dennis Byrd Story” starring Peter Berg. His work on the film led to another supporting role in Mark Lester’s HBO Special, “Public Enemy #1” starring Theresa Russell and Alyssa Milano.
Brent’s professional dance career began at age sixteen performing with world famous Las Vegas magician Melinda, First Lady of Magic. Since then, he has been a featured dancer appearing with Randy Travis, Creed, Dino, Jimmy Osmond, Country Superstar Neal McCoy and the late legend Andy Williams. Brent has also been featured in Dance Spirit magazine with renowned choreographer and master teacher Tymme Reitz.
Brent has created original and award winning choreography for numerous shows in Branson, Missouri in addition to directing and choreographing shows for Six Flags theme parks. A master of many styles, Brent has set award winning competition choreography for dancers and dance studios across the country.
He currently is an adjudicator and Master Teacher for many national organizations including Masquerade, Adrenaline, Dance Masters of America, Kids Artistic Revue, Dance America, Elite Dance Cup, Dance Olympus and has also been involved in the Miss Texas Scholarship Pageant.
He now resides with his wife Marissa in Biloxi, Mississippi. The couple opened RAGE Dance Center in neighboring Ocean Springs, Mississippi in August of 2012, fulfilling his life-long dream to inspire dancers in his own unique way. Brent’s personality and experience have created a choreographer and master teacher who is anticipated and in demand.
